We tested a decades' worth of Cannes Gold Lion and Grand Prix winners in the Film category to answer a simple question - how effective are the ads that win awards?
The answer is double-edged. While Lions winners as a whole score far better than the average ad, the Grand Prix winners very often fail to connect at all with the public.
